Teammate Saim Ayub Drops Absolute Dolly In Slips, Leaving Babar Azam incredulous

The fielding of the visiting squad has been a recurring topic of discussion on social media ever since Pakistan’s tour of Australia began. Pakistani batsman Saim Ayub gave his teammates a heart attack when he lost a clear-cut sitter in the slips on Day 2 of the third Test between the two nations. As Ayub saved Australia’s opener, David Warner, supporters couldn’t help but post memes on social media to mock Ayub and his squad for their constant mistakes on the pitch.

Warner, facing the bat for the last time in his Test career, was given a lifeline at the beginning of the inning. Amer Jamal, a Pakistani bowler, produced an outstanding delivery that forced the seasoned Australian to edge the ball into the slips. However, Ayub seemed unprepared as the ball escaped his grasp.

Standing at the second slip position, former Pakistan captain Babar Azam put his palm over his face upon realizing that his teammate Ayub had lost an easy catch. This is the video:

Eventually, out for 34, Warner seemed irritated as he walked off the Sydney Cricket Ground to a standing ovation from his home audience, having lost out on a memorable century in his eleven2th and last Test match.

Agha Salman, an offspinner, gave Warner more bounce and turn out of the rough, and he beat him, edging a catch off the shoulder of his bat to a jubilant Babar Azam at slip.

Warner, who may still play in the second innings of his last Test, has amassed 8,729 runs at an average of 44.53 with 26 hundreds in his 8,729 Test runs since his 2011 debut.

Due to poor light at the SCG, Usman Khawaja was the only Australian batsman to be removed before early tea was served in the third Test.
